How long does a garage floor coating usually take?
Most garage floor projects take 2-3 days. While some companies advertise one-day installations, we prioritize long-term performance over speed. We believe the best results come from proper surface preparation, premium materials, and allowing each coating to fully cure before the next is applied. Taking the time to do it right creates superior adhesion, exceptional durability, and a floor that's built to last for years.
Do you repair cracks or damaged concrete first?
Absolutely. Preparation is what sets us apart. We use top-of-the-line diamond grinding equipment to create the ideal concrete profile for maximum adhesion, then repair cracks and damaged areas before any coating is applied. The result is a stronger, longer-lasting floor.
How long will my garage floor coating last?
With proper installation and routine care, our premium garage floor systems are designed to provide 15-20 years or more of reliable performance. Over time, you may notice normal cosmetic wear such as reduced gloss or light surface scratches, but the coating will continue protecting your concrete. In many cases, a new topcoat can restore much of the floor's original appearance and extend its lifespan for years to come.
How long before I can walk or drive on my new floor?
Most floors can be walked on within 24 hours and driven on after 48-72 hours. Cure times vary depending on the coating system, temperature, and humidity, and we'll provide specific recommendations for your project.
Do I need to empty my garage before installation?
Yes. The garage should be completely cleared before installation so we have full access to the concrete. Customers are responsible for removing all vehicles and belongings prior to the scheduled installation. If you need assistance moving larger items, we work with trusted partners who can provide temporary removal and storage services for an additional fee.
Is the finished floor slippery?
Our garage floor systems are designed with safety in mind. We incorporate a traction additive into our topcoat to provide extra grip, helping reduce slipperiness while maintaining a clean, attractive finish.
